Privacy, plainly
No account • No history • No personal identity stored. Session ends → conversation is permanently gone.
1. What Pally is
Pally is an ephemeral AI companion. You do not create an account, you do not log in, and you are never asked who you are. There is no profile, no email, no phone number, no name.
2. Your conversation is never stored on our servers
Your messages exist in your browser's memory while the tab is open, and nowhere else. They are sent to the AI model to produce a reply and are not written to any database, log file or backup on our side.
Close the tab, refresh the page, or press End Session, and the conversation is permanently gone. Not archived, not soft-deleted — gone, because it was never written down.
3. What we do keep: anonymous signals
For each conversation we keep one anonymous record describing its shape, never its content. That record holds: country, state/region, language, an age bracket (not your age), a detected mood, an intent topic, a short list of topics, a message count, and timestamps.
It contains no message text, no name, no email, no IP address, no device identifier, and nothing that can be traced back to you. It cannot be re-joined to a person because there is no person recorded anywhere to join it to.
These anonymous signals are what keep Pally free. They are sold to businesses as aggregate market datasets, and they are kept permanently.
4. Location
We detect an approximate country and region from your connection so Pally can speak in context. If you press “Use my real location”, your browser asks your permission, we resolve that one reading into a place name, and then we stop. There is no continuous tracking, no background location, and exact coordinates are never stored.
5. Mood journal and preferences
The mood journal lives entirely in your own browser's local storage. It is never uploaded. Clearing your browser data removes it completely, and we could not retrieve it even if you asked.
Burn Mode, when enabled, clears everything Pally is holding in the browser the moment the tab closes or reloads.
6. Partner links and the ad strip
When you mention something concrete — food, tea, a workout, trouble sleeping — Pally may suggest a relevant partner and show that same offer in the thin strip under the logo. If you buy through it, Pally earns roughly 10% of net profit. You never pay more because of it.
Clicks are recorded against the anonymous signal, not against you. Advertisers receive counts, never conversations.
7. Payments
Only businesses ever pay us, and only through PayPal. Card and payment details are handled entirely by PayPal and are never stored on Pally's side. We keep the order reference, the amount, and the status — nothing else.
8. Crisis situations
Pally is not a therapist, a doctor or an emergency service. If a conversation suggests you may be in danger, Pally will gently point you toward real human help. In an emergency, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country.
9. Children
Pally is intended for people aged 13 and over. The age you give is used only to choose a tone of voice and to form an age bracket in the anonymous signal.
10. Your rights
Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is nothing personal to request, correct or delete. The anonymous signals are not personal data and are retained permanently as aggregate market information.
Pally — a friend for this moment.
